Jesus left no doubt about Who he claimed to be. But what’s more startling is whom he claimed you and I can be!
Jesus famously said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life.”
His claim has often been criticized as narrow, exclusive, and intolerant. (Of course, if he is all those things… it would’ve been evil to not tell us!)
What’s commonly missed, however, is that in telling us who he is, he was also telling us something about who we are meant to be. These claims, when examined, are even more startling, even more amazing, and even more challenging to believe. Yet if we can be as confident, as enlightened, and as successful as he claims… it would be a tragedy not to know about it.
